Dining
The Original Oyster House on Hwy 59 continues to win accolades with Southern Living Readers -- and for a good reason. They have great fresh seafood and some of the best cheese grits you'll ever eat.
Mikee's has great fried pickles. To some that isn't appealing, but one of those pickles and you'll eat the entire helping.
Papa Rocco's has a great BBQ beef sandwich and also potroast and dumplings (in the winter months)
STACEY's REXALL Drugs in Foley is a gem! It is truly from the 50's and so are the prices. It is on HWY 98 just west off of Hwy 59 near another favorite -- the GIFTHORSE Restaurant.
Gulf Shores Steamer -- Royal Reds in season can't be beat and also the best hamburger (in my opinion on the island)
The Wharf -- thewharfal.com -- check it out for great places to eat and shop. Ginny Lane will never disappoint for seafood that is not fried -- good healthy foods.
Calypso Joe's -- Orange Beach
